Silent Power by Stuart Wilde

You can read this little jewel in under and hour and it will illuminate your path forever.

I picked up this tiny book on a road trip to Sedona with my Marc over 20 years ago in a crystal shop.

Silent Power by Stuart Wilde

Silent Power by Stuart Wilde

At the time I wasn’t practicing yoga, meditating or really doing anything remotely related to improving myself. But by chance I happened upon this book and it was the beginning of a new approach on my spiritual life. Describing the power in simply listening more and talking less, I go back to this book over and over to remember the fine art of listening.

In this tiny, little book Wilde captures the essence of the power of being the observer and the discipline of remaining silent at the most important moments. You can read this little jewel in under and hour and it will illuminate your path forever.

Tools of the Titans by Tim Ferris

A book I have been absolutely loving and have talked about in my classes - Tools of the Titans by Tim Ferris.

Don't let the giant nature of this book scare you!  It is a book you can "browse and land" (I just made that up) wherever your curiosity pulls you. To me, it is somewhat of a "toolbox" for habits, rituals and ideas to live an amazing life, extracted from the lives of leaders, interesting people and successful human beings. Tim says, “I created this book, my ultimate notebook of high-leverage tools, for myself. It’s changed my life, and I hope the same for you.”

One of my 9 million favorite parts of the book is page 471 in an interview with Kevin Kelly and he says... "Sit, Sit. Walk, Walk. Don't Wobble". An expression capturing the commitment to be fully in the moment you are in. It's worth a read.
